Limiting beliefs are sneaky. Most of the time, we don't even know we have them.
Did you grow up hearing any of these old sayings?
Money doesn’t grow on trees!
Money doesn’t buy happiness!
Money is the root of all evil! (an incorrect quote of an old saying)
Don't count your chickens before they hatch!
If so, how did these sayings affect your relationship with money as an adult?
Scientific studies have been done showing the power our thoughts can have on our lives.
Breaking the cycle of harmful self-talk and limiting beliefs can't be done overnight.
But if you first become aware of your thoughts, then start catching yourself whenever you think them, you can learn a healthier way to think.
Find one phrase you catch yourself saying a lot. For many people, it's "I can't afford it!"
While this may be true at the moment, it's not helping you financially. It's like yelling to the world that you can't afford it and will never be able to afford it.
And you know what they say - What you think about, you bring about - or Ask and you shall receive.
You say you can't afford it - and the world conspires to make you right.
Affirmations are a powerful way to help change beliefs and mindsets you were taught as a child. Find a few that resonate with you and repeat them several times each day.
When it comes to money, there’s one more piece of information you need - and that’s to take inspired Action.
Don’t settle for hoping some unexpected refund or bank mistake is going to land money in your bank account. Take action to increase your income. Spend the time you used to spend thinking about being broke, and use that time to get creative about making more money!
If you're ready to get rid of limiting beliefs and replace them with healthy beliefs about yourself and your relationship with money, my friend Ivie can help.
